    1.    Commucate with others on familiar food and drinks by using exressions and structures.

    2.     To use nouns to identify drinks.

    3.    To use sentence to express one’s interests and feelings

    4. Participate in simple interactions in classroom situations

    Difficulties: To express and ask someone’s like or dislike feelings.

    Pre-task Activities

    Step 1

     Daily Talk:Greetings and talk about “day” and “weather”

    Step 2

    1.Song: Do you like…?The words in the song: candy kimchi sweets cookies

    Helping students strengthen sencencs: “Do you like…? Yes, I like. No, I don’t.

    Free dialouge: Do you like…? Yes, I like_____ No, I don’t. like_____.

    2.Watch short movie: I like, I don’t like.

    This part’s purpose on helping children have a good diet concept through their expressions:What is junk food and what is healthy food.

      • Step 3 Chant:

    I like ice cream.Cold and sweet.

    I like jelly.Nice and yummy.

    I like sweets.Yellow and blue.

    I like biscuits.Big and nice.

     

    :Have the students ask and answer some questions.

    T: Hello! What do you like?   S1: I like milk. It’s nice. What do you like?   S2: I like cola. It’s cool.

    T: Do you like ice cream?   S1: Yes. /No. I like … Do you like biscuits?   S2: Yes. /No. I like …

    While-task Activities

    Step 1

     Give some simple instructions to the students.

    T: Peter, drink some milk. (Give him a glass of milk.)   Peter: Thank you.

    Have the students make new instructions to their partners. And let them learn of ‘drink=have’ here.

    Drink some water. = Have some water.

    Step 2

    Have the students watch the videos—reading materials,extending vocabulary and comprehention.

    Post-task Activities

    Step 3

     Listen to and repeat after the tape Page 22.

    Step 2

    Have the students do Part B on Workbook page, ask them to choose one of the pictures and make a short dialogue as follows.

    S1: Drink some water, Miss Lin.   S2: Thank you, Eddie, you are a good boy.

    Step 3 Have the students listen and enjoy the chant –What do you like?
