what：

本单元在语言知识上侧重形容词和副词的比较级的学习和训练。这是第三单元的第四课时的内容，其中心话题围绕should friends be the same or different这个话题开展教学活动.

why：

本文的写作目的主要体现在：第一，通过阅读三个人对朋友的描述学会形容词比较级的用法；第二，运用形容词比较级描述自己的朋友；第三，学会尊重差异，尊重不同。

how：三个人在描述朋友时使用quieter, harder, taller，more serious，more outging...等等形容词来呈现比较级的用法。例如：s+be+adj.比较级+than+被比较对象

学情分析

本堂课教学对象是八年级学生。学生经过几年的英语学习后。英语自学能力逐渐培养起来。 自主学习、翻转课堂的学习模式让学生基本可以自学词汇和主要课本内容。而且、这么大的学生思维能力发展较快。 自我意识增强。在情感方面他们能进行自我教育。所以，学生基本有了初步的自主、合作、探究和实践的能力。
