    Procedure:

    1. Talking.

    1\ Sing a song <<Happy Birthday>>

    2\ Guess whose birthday it is: (幻灯片出现三个人物的照片)

    Teacher describes Tim’s appearance, Ss guess.

    Teacher: He’s eight. He has big eyes and small ears. He has a small nose. He’s a student.

    3\Encourage students to say ‘Happy birthday’ to Tim.(板书句子)

    4\(幻灯片呈现Tim的生日派对照片) Teacher introduces that Tim has a birthday party. (板书课题) Students read the title.

    4\ Buy presents in the toy shop(幻灯片呈现玩具店): Teacher encourage students to buy some present for Tim. Guide students describe the things in the toy shop. Teacher will reward the good one. ( Model--- talk in pairs ---show)

    Model: Look at the card. It’s pretty and yellow. I like the card.

    1\ Lead-in: Teacher points to the girl who got the rewards and says “Look at XXX. She has a present. ”(板书句子) Then teacher points to the boy and says the same pattern. Students repeat and talk in groups of four.

    2\Go to party (幻灯片呈现Tim的生日派对图片)Teacher plays the CD-Romguide students think about a question ‘Who has a ribbon ?’. Students listen and read part B.

    3\ Talk about Tim’s birthday presents(幻灯片呈现Tim在派对上得到的若干礼物) :

    Teacher describes a present as an example. Then students talk in pairs about the presents. Model--- talk in pairs ---show)
