    本文选自北师大版高中英语选择性必修第一册第二单元第三课的reading club部分。本单元的话题是失败的重要性。本文通过五个经历过失败然后走向成功的名人事例来向学生说明失败的重要性。这五个名人的共同特点是都经历过失败,但他们没有放弃,最终从而走向成功。本文的价值取向在于通过这些人的事例帮助学生明确失败是人生道路上不可避免的一部分,即使成功的人也会经历失败,要用正确客观的眼光对待失败。


    why:

    本文的写作目的主要体现在:第一,介绍五个名人失败到成功的事例;第二,用名人事例来说明失败是不可避免的,同时失败也是具有重要意义的,在失败中我们可以变得更加有韧性,更加坚强,从而帮助我们做好面对成人世界的准备。同时也想通过这些事例告诉学生,我们应该正确面对失败,要学会了解失败,与失败和解,只有学会如何管理失败,才会明确如何走向成功。


    how:

    本文结构是分为三部分。第一部分就是第一自然段作者举出j. k rowling 的演讲引出失败有积极影响的一面。第二部分包括2-6自然段,通过讲解五个名人的失败的例子来引出失败是不可避免的这一观点。第三部分包括7-8段,这部分是最后升华,点明主旨的部分。这部分总结了这些名人身上的共同点那就是他们都经历过失败,并且都从失败中收获到了勇气与坚持,失败也在一定程度上锻炼和成就了他们。最后作者点出从失败中我们可以收获坚持和热情,从而变得更有毅力,而这也就是失败的重要所在。

    本班学生为高二(2)班,为年级中的实验班。本班学生综合素质比较强,在英语方面有比较好的基础,爱好涉猎广泛,对本话题有一定了解。学习英语教积极,能够主动参与到课堂的讨论中。但时候学生的思维过于发散,容易偏离主题,抓不住重点主旨。


    已有基础

    • 就话题而言,这个话题是学生人生中所必须要经历的,与学生的生活息息相关。同时本文中的五个名人在之前的几课中有提及。学生对于名人事例也比较熟悉。

    • 就语言基础而言,本班学生为高二年级实验班的学生,语言基础扎实但仍有两极分化的情况发生,一部分同学基础不太好,在英语课上参与程度不高;另外有些同学语言基础较好,能够准确运用一些基本词汇语法和句型,能够较为准确地表达自己的意思。

    • 就认知能力而言,本班学生现在是高二年级,思维水平已经与成人相近,处于形式运算阶段,具有较好的推理假设总结以及分析的能力,能够回答较为深层次的问题,例如推断作者的态度,本文的主旨等。
